Just wondering is any of ya lads playing on Avlis these days?

www.avlis.org I've just joined back in created a new character and I'm gonna have a bash at proper roleplaying once more..

how would a newbie fare out with it ?
would you have to be part of a party starting out ?

No you dont need to be part of any party.. its a persistant world, pretty much along the lines of a mmorpg version of neverwinter nights. The excellent part to avlis though is that it involves actual roleplaying and a lot of players focus on character development. Its slow paced to level up but you will get the idea once you start playing.
Just to note though to play in this world make sure you have the requirements as they are fairly steep, you need all the expansions and you have to download about 200mb in updates (hackpacks and sound files)

cheers i have all the xpansion packs , just never played through ,
have a BB connection so should be able to download the add ons and hack files etc
when i get going i will update this thread ,as i might need a helpful guide !!!
