To be completely honest, though you seem decided on the phone I would advise that you don't get one. I've been using one sporadically since spetember and no matter about some of the various good features of the phone such as the high res camera it's still somewhat of a chore to use because of a: the size and b: the atrocious keyboard layout. the operating system is also somewhat laggy on it.

    That aside you could try

    Expansys

or else the 3G shops are doing a deal if you come over to O2 from another Network (billpay I think) and take their most expensive contract rate you get about €100 or so off the asking price.

Not much of a bargain really but there you go.

Jorinn im using ngage at the moment so size is actually a step down for me :) ,but is the software not up to scratch? i picked it becaused its an s60 phone so there is a lot of development going on for it and quite a lot of software at the moment already available. I checked expansys , pretty expensive! hehe, im gonna try get one on ebay i think and see what is the best value i can get.

You can get very good priced phones at mobilerepair

Take a look and all the phones are sim free.

The fact that it's an s60 phone tbh i think is the problem, it's like they implemeneted a decent modern OS for phones but did it ahead of the curve of the chip speeds or just didn't write the code very efficiently, there's noticeable lag for things as simple as locking the keypad. This happens with more than the 7610 though, it's not exactly handset specific. You mention the 6230 and tbh that would be my choice of phone atm but haven't used the SonyEricsson or Siemens phones you mentioned. Go into a mobile store though and ask for a play with each one.
