Hi, so I recently moved house. Brought air compressor with me , worked fine in previous garage. Got electrician to wire up compressor in new garage which I had there for him to see it. Compressor cuts out after between 10 and 20 seconds. Trips the switch. Any ideas before I call him back. Compressor wasn’t connected before he left as it was too heavy to move close to the plug on the wall. He put in the blue plug, the wiring to the box and the new trip switch.

Did it get damp during the move? Looks a bit like the alu fins were wet at some point.

Running for 10/20 seconds is interesting - I wonder if it's the motor start capacitor.

I’d say it should be a C rated mcb instead of the B rated one that’s fitted. (16amp)
