Hi folks need some advice if you can.
I just opened my meter box there to check my reading and noticed it in this condition. It’s a new home, who should I contact to fix it? The blue tamper is broken and the isolator cover won’t close either.

    thanks

    ESB networks.

As said above it's ESBN for the meter, but if it's brand new build I'd be getting onto the builders first as ESBN can charge around €200 to replace the broken seal, even if you didn't do it.

The isolator cover is 100% builder to fix, did you get a proper snag list done before moving in?

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.

That side of the isolator is your tail so it's up to your electrician to close the terminal cover after they connected your tails. Get on to your builder. Also the screw on the left for the phase will be live so don't go sticking your fingers in near it.

it’s definitely the site electrical contractor’s responsibility

Sometimes the cover on your ocpd just needs to be pressed in firmly to click closed

Any chance of a photo from beneath this as I can’t see a gland

this should be fitted over your isolator also

It’s just sitting in your meter box
