Replace Telestar receiver with one TV

Hey. I'm trying to eliminate a digital Freeview receiver in my mother's current setup.

    Current setup:

    • Panasonic 24" TV
    • Telestar TD 2220 HD-L

She gets very confused having to to switch from the TV to the receiver. And everything would be much more straightforward if there was just one TV that could replace this.

    Anyone able to help?

Based close to the border so if the solution is a UK device then I may be able to get one.

You could just plug the cables into the back of the TV you have if it's new enough. If not any TV would work if all her channels are coming from aerials as you said your close to the border. Does she have a satellite dish for channels?

No. Current setup receives channels via an aerial plugged into the Telestar box?

Is there an advantage/ disadvantage to buying the TV in the UK?

Considering something like this - https://www.currys.ie/products/philips-24phs600005-24-smart-hd-ready-hdr-led-tv-10284344.html

No disadvantages as all televisions are dvb T2 standered now anyways. The 32 inch tecknica tvs are currently on offer in Tesco for 99 euros and there not the worst iv seen but that one would be good also.
