The drivers side break seems too be making a load squeaky noise every time I tip the break pedal.

Did you drive over a driveway with stones and getting a rubbing sound from a trapped stone in / on caliper.

Should be able to view pad lining in through the wheel rim.

    no

Our drive is concrete,no off road driving.

I’ll have a look at the wheels

Very common issue with German cars flipping up a stone and lodging in caliper or behind heat shield. jack up the car and spinning the wheel might hear the noise.

is there much rust on the disks?

drive it at speed and break to a stop few times in a safe place

I've had the same issue in a brand new Tesla Model Y. The squeal would happen in wet weather. It got really annoying the past fortnight with the weather being constantly wet and cold. I sprayed some anti-squeak spray on the discs one evening last week before retiring for the evening. No noise since. I picked up the stuff in Lidl by chance. It sprays on like melted butter. No changes to braking performance and I've done a few hundred kilometres since.

will check if any visible signs of rush.

Will also pop car up on jack and see if wheels spin freely without noise

Sounds like there was no copper grease put on the back of the brake pads

Not used copper grease on pads for decades, most pads have a shim on the back of pads.

A scummy disc surface will have a bearing with brakes working and noise.
