    Hi currently a co and last July I got an email saying I have been awarded the co higher pay scale but it hasn't kicked in plus I am due to skip point 8 on the ordinary scale jan next year anyone know how the calculations are done.also I just did an outside competition for a co would I be negotiate to stay on the higher scale in new department?

    normally it takes a year for HS to be assigned so the instruction will be sent to payroll to implement a year after. Generally there's no change in pay as they both have the same pay rates just point 7 on the normal CO scale is point 4 on the Higher Scale so you move quicker up it if that makes sense. Your increment should proceed as normal point 9 of the CO scale is the same as 7 on the higher scale. You can see the pay rates for civil service on Forsa

    Hi littlebopeep so it's just cuts out the Lsi wait at the end don't know why it takes a year when there is no monetary benefit it's due since 01/01/25 just hope the new department will keep me on the higher scale if I decide to take the job
