Hi, doing a bit of diy and not sure if i messed up. I bought a dormer bungalow with cold dormer windows upstairs. I pulled back the plasterboard from the cheeks and there was zero insulation. Its just a 2×3 frame with plywood backing. So in my wisdom, I have filled the gaps with foil

backed pir and used foil tape to seal up the joints. The PIR is 60mm so 15 less than the timbers. Some of the insulation sections have ended up pressed against the plywood while others may have a bit of a gap. I've begun worrying about mold at the back but im not sure. Plan was maybe us an airtight membrane over in all then insulation backed plasterboard to finish. Any thoughts or experiences told appreciated, thanks

on the slope of the roof, did you leave a space.

difficult to know what your question is, maybe annotate the pics

I think the question maybe will it all rot because of condensation between the foam and the plywood?

Its not idea but I don't think its a major issue?

I don't know if painting the plywood first would have helped or if bonding the foam to the plywood would have been any better?

However an air space between the two with air movement would have been best.

Wake me up when it's all over.
