Historical Leaving Cert Scores

My friend is a very erudite man. He has had a highly successful career by any standards. He was sifting through old files and stumbled across his leaving cert results. He was a bit down when he saw his results (though, he did decently in the matric). I explained to him about grade-inflation these days and how students are prepared to within an inch of their lives for exams. I was wondering if anybody knows where I will dig out the historical averages from the 1970s?

ps Leaving cert is a heap of nonsense. I have know people who received outstanding results who floundered and people who received very “mediocre” results who are now doing great things. We cannot define a person by one single set of examinations aged 17-18. I just want to cheer him up by proving that his results were decent
