Been planning (for a couple of years) to get a Makita 18 or 36v mitre saw, but they're around than €700 these days...

I just picked up this compact Evolution saw for €65, Amazon open box...

I've a plan to do some panelling in the house. This thang should be more than capable! Reviews are good.

Thats not a bad price. I think the thing you need to be aware of with Evolution saws is that they have a slower blade speed so that they can cut ferrous metals. Nothing to stop you putting a better blade on it.

Wake me up when it's all over.

This one has a 24 tooth blade as opposed to 20 on some their other models... I'm sure that'll get fine enough for the jobs I have for it.

Great bargain. The more teeth on the blade the smoother it cuts. 24 is good for rough timber.
