I think I’m maybe missing something simple here or maybe not, new to solar so just want to understand.

We charge the battery overnight, I’m assuming the following

PV = amount the panels generated this day & we consumed all of that

Imported = Everything we took from the grid in a 24hr period

Load = What we actually consumed

The imported amount should always be less than the load unless the panels provide 0Kwh?

As far as the electricity service provider is concerned, we consumed whatever we imported, is that correct?

So the euro saving to me at the moment ( autumn / winter ) is the KWh difference between imported & load?

    Correct?

    Thanks

    looks right to me .
I’m trying to figure out how to stop the battery discharging at certain times and save this for the peak times to reduce cost 💲 n peak usage. I’ve a SOLIS S5.
my battery was discharging and also taking a good amount of electricity at the same time (100-300W) and as another poster pointed out putting battery saving to disable helped as it now only takes trickle amounts from the grid .

Hi, to stop battery discharging just set a discharge window of how ever long you want it not to use the battery and set the current to 0amps.

I'd also wind that discharge soc to at least 10% if not lower, I run ours down to 6%.
