    Hi

I have a Lidl robot vac which worked well for a few months and then stopped - the power button went a solid orange colour (not much info in the user manual about this, just "product error")

Tbf, customer care were good and sent out a replacement vac. That ran for about a year and failed with the same error. They've discontinued the product so they're refunding me which is fair enough.

Anyway, before chucking them in the recycling, I wanted to have a look and see if I can do anything with them. I figure that the best starting point is with the battery (see photo below), how can I use a multimeter to check these 4 cells?

    Thanks in advance

Check The voltage for the pack, that should match the rated voltage on the sticker, plus or minus about 5%.

Then if its lower than the rated voltage you could disassemble the pack (usual safety cautions apply) and check each cell as you would an AA cell.

Tll is the voltages etc and we can determine the next steps.

My robo vac died. I took out the battery, found a replacement online, and swapped it out. 2 years later its still going.

I dismantled the battery on one of them and each of the cells appear to be healthy (measuring ~3.96V, battery is labelled as 14.4V) so it doesn't look like that's the problem.

With no obvious mechanical problems, I think I could be at the end of this investigation already
