    would changing the existing sliding door to a standard window be an exempted development.
    I have asked work colleagues and it’s 50/50 Yes/No.

    Id sign an opinion on exemption based on section 4 1 h of the planning and development regs but I'd be inclined to say install a low level cill so that nobody could argue that the change wasn't in keeping.

    Id match the cill level of the bay window.

    Id consider that exempt myself

    I’d also say exempt. You’re above the distance limits for windows at ground floor level etc
