Had been thinking of posting this for a while but didn't want to tempt fate until DCM was done! Just wondering what sort of supplements people are taking and if they reckon they're having much of an impact.

I've been taking berocca on and off for the last few years, throwing the actimel into the shopping most weeks too. But it was only this year that I consistently took supplements, basically since last Christmas; separate magnesium, Vit C and Vit D tablets every morning, along with the berocca energy boost drink. I think it definitely helped in the marathon block, if only to avoid flus/colds. An underrated aspect of marathon prep perhaps. Expensive enough to keep it all going though.

I wouldn't recommend Berocca. Instead, I'd focus on targeting specific supplements such as iron, calcium and vitamin D, particularly now with the darker days. Whilst high-quality iron supplements can be expensive, I've found them to be brilliant for maintaining energy levels throughout the day. It's also worth getting your bloods checked, as this could reveal what you're deficient in. In my case, my B12 and vitamin D levels were far too high, so I've stopped taking those supplements and haven't noticed any difference.
