My first deer down in 4 years.

I had to give up stalking after a heart attack 4 years ago. I've had 2 more since, and 4 stents inserted. But felling good even if I don't have the stamina I used to have 😕.

Out last afternoon with my younger friend that has just started stalking and managed to grass this big Fallow buck just as it was getting dark. A good heart and lung shot at 100m, heart was in bits. Big leap in the air, but still ran 10m.

2 1/2 hours to groloch, drag up a bad hill and load in the car. Just as well my friend was there to do all the hard work.

Took a lot out of me, and only for my friend started stalking I don't know if I would have got back to hunting again. No stamina is the worst thing, I was never one to exercise 🙁.
