Salt Lick Block Holder Recommendation

Are the JFC lick block holders worth the price? I went through 2 or 3 of those green plastic ones the last few winters - find they break easily when the block starts to get smaller. Or a cows knocks into it or whatever. Any recommendations appreciated.
