What way do you find best to preserve fox tails other than freezing them, (with bone in them).

Bone out and soak in methylated spirits for a few weeks in a jar.

I always store tails in large paper bag and spray each one with wd40.
No rot or maggots even in summertime.
They persevere well.for the annual vermin count.
