Is this authentication (aka MFA, 2FA) you talking about?

Within the yahoo web mail (via browser) interface there should be an option to revoke access to the old phone, although it may not be necessary to do this unless it's a strict yahoo limitation or just to prevent someone else accessing your emails on the old phone.

To get access on the new phone you could try a client such as Gmail which can access any IMAP enabled email server, in this case yahoo mail.

You'll need to generate an App Password from within Yahoo's webmail interface to allow this to work, the normal password won't work for 3rd party apps such as Gmail.
