Connecting Flight Baggage Question

I have a noob question please. I don't usually do connecting flights. I am flying with Aer Lingus from Dublin to Chicago and then from Chicago to Vegas with American Airlines after about a 4 to 5 hour layover. I booked all this via Aer Lingus by searching for Dublin to Vegas so it is all under the one booking. Do I need to do anything in Chicago regarding my checked bags or will they be automatically transferred to my Vegas flight without any input from me? Thanks.

Automatically transferred. You'll check them in Dublin and collect in Vegas

no, If it’s the one ticket/ booking you don’t need to do anything

It’s a Long enough layover so unlikely your bags will get lost. But it’s always good practice to take a change of clothes and the likes in your carry on

Thanks, I appreciate the replies. BTW, I did ring Aer Lingus and they told me it would be transferred automatically but I think I got a work experience person because they seemed very unsure of their own answer. I just wanted to double check it here too.

If all on the one ticket it will be tagged to LAS as you pre-clear in Dublin.
