Ulster game into Leinster game looks like a good afternoon's watching tomorrow.

Treviso great at home but gash away.

    Dragons can't buy a win.

Connacht/Bulls best game of last night by a country mile.

Zebo & Madigan were a breath of fresh air on co comms tonight, they're so good I hardly notices Ryle Nugent. They really give insight to some of the plays and the reasons why a player might opt for that play.

I watched the Leinster v Munster game on TG4.

TG4 should be banned from broadcasting any more URC matches. Their commentators never stopped talking over the ref when He was talking to the TMO.
And then to cap it all off, just as Tadhg Beirne was to be interviewed, they went to ads.
I'm a Leinster supporter but the better Province won.

When the Celtic League was in its infancy TG4 was the only broadcaster interested in broadcasting the games. While I hate talking over the refs, it seems to happen more nowadays, maybe because a lot of broadcasters go with more than one co commentator so they try to fill the silence

Are you suggesting all matches featuring Irish provinces go behind a pay wall as TG4 are now the sole FTA broadcaster of URC in Ireland?

I’m only suggesting that TG4 have the broadcasting right taken away. RTÊ can always broadcast, as can VM. No reason why the games have to go behind a firewall

I don't think you understand how broadcasting rights work to be honest.

TG4 have been showing Celtic League/ProXX/URC games since the beginning. They're (thankfully) still fully committed to showing games.

They're the only ones showing FTA games right now because nobody else wanted them. RTE chose not to renew their contract.

Do we know that a new contract was on offer to them and they declined? Is there a source for that. BBC Wales and BBC NI both left the scene too. It struck me that the league was removing English language competition to Premier Sports.

There was a period in the late 2000s TG4 didn’t have any rights, when they were exclusively with Setanta.

    Regardless of that.

Stripping a broadcaster of its rights will only happen in the most serious circumstances. You are basically talking an insolvency event for either the broadcaster or the league, or a serious failure of the broadcaster to fulfill its side of the contract - I don’t mean talking over the ref, I mean missing payments or something like that.

was trying to stream the match using the usual sources, non-stop buffering and choppy feed. Switched to connect to TG4, perfect stream, clear and smooth. They do a great job in their presentation, as well as the value they provide being as Gaeilge.

I cannot speak one word of Irish but I enjoy TG4's coverage of URC. If it was not covering matches there would be no FTA coverage on terrestial TV in Ireland.
