    Hey all,

Ive a PV system the last couple of years and it uses a Huawei inverter.

Im now looking at possibly getting batteries but as ye know, Huawei battery systems are very very expensive albeit theyre premium hardware.

Im thinking of perhaps getting a different inverter that will allow me the freedom to choose more battery options at much cheaper prices too.

Is this worth doing in yere opinion and if so, what make of inverter and batteries would ye recommed ?

Any recommendations very much appreciated !

In general, yes, it's worth it. It gives you greater control over your energy use. Hard to recommend anything without knowing any details of what you have and what your usage is.

I use the common solis and have DIY Seplos batteries which basically run my house now.

Solis will be your most economical choice, they allow a wide number of battery brands.
