    Hello all,

I'm not trying to solicit advertising but trying to find someone to get a fluid change on my solar system. Not many around these days. I've been quoted some mad rates so looking for something reasonable.

If I don't get a reasonable rate I'll just do it myself, I installed the system about 15 years ago & so far no issues. Chadwicks hire out the filling station so looks fairly doable. If anyone has some experience/ advice on a DIY it would be appreciated.

Anyone with a reasonable rate please send me a PM. In the Lucan area.

    Thanks,

If you installed it yourself then you should be well able to DIY it.

It's pretty much the same thing as first filling, except you obviously drain out the old stuff first.

Plenty of good videos around if you need a quick refresher on it.

You'll never beat your DIY price, shop around for the solar glycol there can be a massive variation on prices for the same thing.

Personally I don't bother with the pump station and just use a pump attachment for a cordless drill to refill and pressurise the system, it does help a lot to have a 2nd pair of hands to work the drill for those few minutes.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.
