    Hi all,

I’m looking for some opinions on what to do with my C.V. It seems like there’s a lot of knowledgable people still posting on here so hopefully you guys can help.

I spent the bones of 10 years trading/punting full time on sports. I worked together with 8-10 lads across UK+Europe.  I decided to pack it in over a year ago as things never went back to the way they were pre-covid. I took up a job in a busy warehouse as I've no previous qualifications. I quit that job a few weeks ago to go back to college to study a 4 yr undergrad, much to the frustration of my manager who wanted me to stay.

I have plenty saved up but I’d like a part-time job to keep the C.V ticking over. I know the job market is rough but its proving hard to find anything. I'm concerned that my previous "job" is proving to be a red flag for employers and could potentially effect employment after I graduate. I'd like to hear your opinions on how I could maybe word the “job” better on a C.V?

Maybe something along the lines of "Syndicate Analyst" perhaps?

What would you guys do? How would you react to seeing that on somebody’s C.V?

Alternatively I can just mask the 10 years by saying I worked with the family repair company. Would that be a safer bet? (Pardon the pun)

    All opinions welcome.

    Thanks
