Looking for some advise. Ive got zero electrical knowledge, so im hoping someone can help me figure this out.

We are getting work done in our home. Six months ago we discussed the location of our fuse board with our electrician. He advised us that it could go in a rectangle shape, landscape? at the top of the wall. He also said that he would be moving the big ESB box outside. After this time we didnt see our electrician again, only his staff (around 5 people who constantly made mistakes).

Now we are down to the final stage, we plan to move back in next week. We assumed the fuse box is only temporary as it is really long (not agreed) and really low down. They also put the thermostat here (which we did not agree to) and still have not moved the ESB box.

Our electrician is meeting me at the house to discuss, but he insists that there are no fuse boards of a different size (only long ones like he used) and that because of max height allowances he couldn't do anything else. This is right inside the front door of our home. Any and all advice would be appreciated. Pic here for ref....red box is how we'd originally agreed it would go.
