Geotagged photos

I recently got asked to send in a few geotagged photos of a new boundary by the dept. Has anyone else done this, just wondering were they happy with the result or do they come back looking for more info etc?

Sent in geotagged photos myself. I just downloaded the app, took the photos and sent them in. No hassle at all.

Done similar a few years back, and no problem then either

It just says "GPS live camera"

My advisor sent it on to me. Put I'm sure a Google search would get you one

That's the one the Dept were involved in developing.

It might be easiest to download and use that one if people don't already have an app.

{disclaimer: The software research group I work with off-farm were also involved. But I know zero about it}

I got a reply it started off with this;

This message seems suspicious...It could be from a legitimate sender, but there’s a chance it’s an attempt by a hacker to gain access to your system. Tap below to see a list of actions you can take.

Basically they said there was no geo tag on the photos, I need to send them as an attachment in an email, not embedded in the email. Every day is a school day.

So I resent the photos one at a time and I think we're ok this time.

Round we go again. Does anyone know if I email the photos to myself from the phone, then send the email to them from my laptop with the photos attached will the geo tag still be visible to them? They're still saying the photos are embedded in the email. Jesus I'm feeling old and grumpy today.

I usually put them to laptop via Bluetooth, but if you right click on the photo on laptop they should have longitude and latitude coordinates for it to be geotagged

If you were going to the ploughing, you could go into the Dept tent - they have a Helpdesk set up in there.

You could also call into the local Dept office and ask them to do it from your phone.

Was the 2nd of September not the closing date for the photos as per notification letter.

I logged onto the mobile app (agrisnap). I think it asked you for which LPIS field you were in, or they had in on the screen for you (if i remember correctly), photos then taken with app using the mobile camera. There was an option on the app to select which photos you wanted to upload on the screen. You got a 'tick mark' when they were accepted. They were pretty slow to upload.

To take photos go to camera settings on your camera and turn on location tags.

Can you not upload the photos to the TAMS application, even at a Query you should be able to do that.

I generally upload straight from the phone. Problem with emailing photos is that they can often be resized and this removes data on them. Email data limits is a pain with photos
