    im looking into putting a liquid Damp Proof Membrane on a basement floor that is damp but has no visible water… im looking to put this down to hopefully seal up the floor… im wondering has anyone got any recommendations or have they used any that they could recommend.. there is plenty on line all saying there the best but trying to get someone's experience first before purchasing..

    To see if damp is coming up through the basement floor take a square of clear plastic and tape it to the floor. Tape all around the outside so no air can get it. Then leave it for a couple of days if the damp is coming up through the floor there will be condensation on the underside of the plastic.

    Chances are the floor is cold and its condensation that is making the floor damp.
