Hi, I ordered something on Friday last week from ebay Ireland , only coming from Cork to Sligo so it should have got here by now. Delivery was expected today Wed 3rd Sept, got a SMS conformation yesterday from an Post that a parcel was going to be delivered today … nothing in the post today.

It seemed to stutter in the tracking order. why does it take so long Ireland to Ireland delivery where you can get things sometimes delivered a lot quicker when it comes from amazon UK to Ireland?

Andy, I haven't had anything but very fast deliveries this year. Maybe it's a local thing. Contact your local sorting office.

We've had 2 parcels with similar tracking anomalies in the past 2-3 weeks. First parcel from Mayo to Louth took over a week, despite emails from An Post to say they were delivering next working day after 2 days had passed. Second parcel's tracking information crossed with the first (both from the same place, but with different tracking numbers). Both parcels were delivered together - one had taken over a week, one took 2 days. We didn't have accurate tracking information on either of them.

Wonder if An Post are having problems with their tracking system? I never saw the like before.

I've noticed lots of delays with An Post last two weeks.

Basically all of last Thursday and Friday week's parcels still have no scans - we've swapped to using DPD for now

maybe they are inundated with Vinted deliveries!

i finally got my package today, the Ebay seller said it must have been held up in the post sorting offices.

I haven't had any parcels recently but I have had emails from a couple of shops I sometimes buy from telling customers that there's a problem with An Post parcels since the 27th of August. Apparently there were technical difficulties that have caused a large backlog.

Hope everyone gets their parcels soon.
