Career Break

Permanent Deputy Principal took career break and only one staff member went forward to cover their role so they got it. They proved to be incredibly poor in the role but the Principal has advised me if the Deputy Principal (Permanent) takes career break again that the teacher who covered will automatically get the role again seeing as they already did it. Is this correct or can other staff members put their names forward? Thanks.

If the DP takes extends the existing career break, then the acting DP remains in situ

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify does that apply even if the DP returns from career break back to their role and then perhaps twelve months later takes another career break?
