We have a new woman. Very much into presentation and making the place look good.

    Some of this is positive

But after a year in the job nothing done about school discipline because wait for it - we have to see what the new curriculular says about school discipline.

When did the department ever come up with anything?

She has a habit of agreeing one thing one day and changing her mind the next.

No charisma and very few people skills

This seems to be the new prototype of Principal DP. Once they get into these positions the only way is up. The most difficult of Principals will be supported by the JMB & NAPD. The good news is that she will probably only stay about 3 years, before she gets a bigger gig. In the meantime she will have to bring in ‘initiatives’ to discuss at her next interview (& to tell the BOM), whether these are effective is of no significance & she will promote her friends (those who keep their mouths shut) to posts beyond their abilities. These types are v predictable, not to stay too long is key.

Yes,seen it all before. But :CAUTION: the damage might be done by then as regards falling numbers, disgruntled parents not to mention students that will cop on fairly quickly to 'unfairness'.

Unfortunately you will always get members of staff that do SFA and get rewarded for it by way of 'sweetners'!

Welcome to the norm in Ireland! Some people appointed to principal positions should never be let near the office,no social skills,no charisma….but are coached within a whisker of their life by, sometimes, those that interview them for the position. Those same g*bsh1tes may well be seen as 'kings/queens' of their community and would go down a sewer if it meant getting an extra euro! Its about time people copped on to the white collar bullies. Those yokes give a bad name to the teaching profession….is it any wonder the media generally hate teachers?

She is now pregnant. She must be pushing 40. Great news for the school and her I suppose

That’ll shorten the 3 years…you might not see her again
