Rads not Heating issue

    Hi.

We switched off our downstairs rads during the summer, the oil was hardly ever used for heating.

Turned them back on yesterday after getting a delivery of Kero and the downstairs rads (9 approx) aren't heating bar one which is getting hot.

I checked each one for air locks and all were fine and ran clearly.

I then went to the recirculation pump (Tucson model) and opened that, there was a little bit of air that released when I turned the bleed screw and then it released a steady stream of water so I closed it back up.

The rad switch taps are all set to on as they were off before and the upstairs rada are heating.

Any ideas on what else it could be or what I could check.

It all sounds normal too when the burner is on etc.

To note, the external tank wasn't run down to nothing, there was a good bit of fuel left in the storage tank when we got it refilled.

Do you have a zone stat on a wall, is that turned up?

No there's no wall stat. Just the manual timer setting

Sorry for the individual questions, but are upstairs and downstairs all on one large zone then?

Can you try turn up the pump to the highest setting, does that make a difference? What happens if you turn off half of the rads upstairs, do the downstairs ones come on at all?
