Front garden slope towards front door

Please can u advise if front garden sloping towards front door is an issue?

The next door house has similar slope but their house entrance is elevated but this house (on left) has main door at ground level.. would you see this as a problem for buying house?

It's not ideal but if there is an issue it can be fixed.

You'd want to keep water flowing away from the house, not just from the front door but the foundations too.

Check for dampness around the door and along the wall.

Thanks.. that's our concern as for some reason house sits in middle of large garden on low ground…would altering the garden slope help?

Hard to say without seeing the site.

Generally the idea is to get surface water, roof water etc. away from the house.

It needs to flow to either a drain or a soakpit.

Maybe you could get an engineer to take a look at the drainage setup .

I see a downpipe to the right of the front door, you need to check where the water from that is going too.
