    Hi all,

Looking for a basic PC for using Flight Simulator. Might throw a windows package on it at some stage for basic home life. I've a monitor already.

Any suggestions for something basic and affordable please?

From the web: For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the minimum PC requirements are an Intel i7-6800K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X CPU, 16 GB RAM, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 GPU (4GB VRAM), and 50 GB of storage, along with a strong broadband internet connection. For a smoother experience at 1080p, a GeForce RTX 2080 or better, 32 GB RAM, and 50 MGB/s bandwidth is recommended. An ideal setup for 4K high-settings includes a powerful CPU like an Intel i7-14700K or AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, an RTX 4080 GPU, 64 GB RAM, and 100 MGB/s internet bandwidth.

What monitor do you have? Are you sticking with that resolution? And what budget are you thinking? Affordable for some is €1,000 and others it can rise to €1,500. A lot of wiggle room in there.
