Info on Thermal/IR Rifle scope

Hi all. I'm looking for info/recommendations on purchasing an IR/Thermal Scope for my rifle. Farmer wants me to clear some troublesome foxes at night. I have a Savage Edge .223. I'm relatively new to hunting and have only used the scope that came on my rifle. I do a lot of target shooting. Can you tell me what to look for or what would work for me? From what I've seen online there's a huge range to look at and can cost thousands. I'm not looking for anything too expensive, just a starter one for now. I'd imagine most shooting will be done around 100yds. Appreciate any advice.

Pard 007 is an add on to the back of the scope. I use it and find it effeective. Then just quickly take it off when I am shooting normally. They are on the lower end of cost and will get you a start.

Bare balls thermal hand held sights cost already on the thousand euro mark[HKMicro Thunder].You can throw another 150 for the eyepiece and another 150 for the clip on attachment for your day scope onto that.That's the cheapest I could find on the continental websites.Dedicated scopes start at 2thousand for a decent scope.

Thermal IMO is where NV was in the 1980s to the2010s, a holy grail that all the "cool kids" had and was the must have.Nowadays you can pick up a decent enough NV clip on hand held on Ali express for about 300 euros and a dedicated scope for 500 So FWIW maybe have a look for a 2nd hand NV scope/clip on unit first and work within its limits,as a lot of lads dumped their NV units to upgrade or go thermal.
