    Exacerbate - to make a problem worse

    Exasperate - to annoy or irritate.

    We need to use words with their agreed and understood meaning or we are speaking gibberish to each other.

    exactly right but most people don't seem to be able to grasp much simpler words so these clarifications always put me in mind of sisyphus with his big ol' rock.

    Scream - a high pitched, often involuntary sound made in panic, extreme excitement, fear or pain.

    It does not refer to loud or irritated complaining, angry shouting, or giving out.

    Its a perfectly good word with a specific use, when it is the lazy go-to word for any of the second list then it loses all meaning and power.
