    That cable would do the job. the important attributes are Singlemode, and SC/APC connectors at both ends.

    disconnect the short cable between box 1 and box 2. move box 2 to its new location. keep the ends of the cable clean as possible, dont be tempted to wipe it with your finger to clean it.

    If you were to move to Virgin at a later date, they would not be inclined to re use the openeir cable or ONT, that would typically be a new cable run in from outside, and a new box installed internally.

    When you say there is a kitchen cabinet going into that area, will box number 1 be accessible after the work is done ?,

    If the drop cable ever required replacing the engineers woudl need access to box1.
