Well pump warning light

I see lots of pumps in the area wired with these. It's usually a bulkhead that lights when pump is running.

They are usually wired directly to the pressure switch.

I want to fit one on my pump. I'm thinking of wiring a 3a fused spur to the switch with 2.5mm and then 1mm to the lamp. Flexible conduit between spur and pressure switch and rigid plastic to the lamp.

I this the correct way to do what I am doing?

A warning light for continuous runnning pump , think I heard that alright causing big bills

A spur off the pump supply sounds ok

Bulb might be ok you're depending on the bulb working but presumably you'd notice if it's off the whole time ?

Might be a better way not too familiar, plenty of smart heads about
