    Evening folks,

I'm hoping some knowledgeable folk here might be able to help me out. I'm looking to install a cylinder stat (probe style) which can be viewed remotely via an app. Ideally it would have a

    Local display

    App monitoring

    Have multiple channels

    Log the data

    Not break the bank

I'm not looking to have any control via the app, solely monitoring. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

The Sonoff POW320D with a temp probe is about €30. It’s only single channel, but it has a 20A relay, so you can easily control a 13A immersion heater remotely or on a schedule.

You can also use it as an extra safety measure by setting it to switch off the heater when the water hits 60 °C.

Even with a 20A relay I wouldn't trust a Sonoff with an Immersion heater on it's own, those relays will have a short life running a heating load for the length of run time required to heat water regularly. Far better advice would be to use it in conjunction with a contactor that is designed for the job.

Immersion heater stuff gives trouble alright

Switches and stats can last but don't always . I'm a long time getting called out to problems

Thanks for the response Latro. The device you have attached is something I was looking for. However after trawling through here over the weekend I decided to go DIY and build something myself and do all. Have the components ordered, you'll probably find me on the home automation thread in a few weeks trying to trouble shoot it!!
