Large satellite antenna in Tralee?

I reckon I have as good a chance of finding info in this forum as anywhere else, but would anyone have any info on a large satellite antenna in the centre of Tralee in the 80s and possibly 90s? I'd imagine it was something to do with P&T/Telecom Eireann for communications rather than broadcasting as such. I've tried some…

I'd imagine it was something to do with P&T/Telecom Eireann for communications rather than broadcasting as such. I've tried some searches on Irish Newspapers Archives but come up blank.
