Looking at moving away from the usual jap stuff to something with deeper swiss heritage. Looked at a Tissot PR100. What else is out there in around this price ? I do like the Tissot PR 516 also but it's pushing 600 euro and for a quartz that is expensive imo.

    Quartz or automatic?

I got Certina DS podium auto on chrono 24 for 300,nice watch with powermatic 80 movement, very comfortable on wrist,I would look at Certina on chrono 24,some good value there.

The Tissot Gentleman is a nice watch...i have both a blue dial quartz Gentleman and a blue dial quartz Victorinox Alliance both barely worn that I'm hoping to sell. Just found 40mm too big for my wrist with that style watch.

I like what Clarkson said about Tissot - can't buy one since I'm not 12 years old (or something along those lines - couldn't agree more)

That logo with the year is just so childish it wrecks my head, pitty though, love some of the watches if they had no logo.

I hate the 1853 date on the dial as well. It cheapens it imo. I can't afford an Omega so I have to settle for the cheaper option.

where would you go about to buy a decent secondhand Swiss watch?

Certina better way to go then.

PS Tissot used to have a much nicer logo on their watches in italic, pity what they did with this new one.

try adverts or done deal, eBay used to be good but since brexit it’s not financially viable

    The internet isn’t for everyone

    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

I wanted to like Tissot but when I went shopping early this year I tried on about 3-4 that I’d consider buying - the watch felt way too light- the metal straps felt cheap with some nasty sharp edges - great “looking” watches but I left them all behind for the above reasons

If you're near Kildare Village have a look in Hour Passion, they can have very good deals on Hamilton and Certina which are both a step up from Tissot. Signet Jewellers there also sell Alpina and also can have random seconds stock.
