Hi everyone, just got accepted as tenant in Ashtown (Dublin 15). It looks like a great area but we'd be right behind the Halfway House pub. Does anyone know about the noise levels? I'm worried about not getting much sleep from people leaving after midnight. Is that an issue? Thanks for the help!

The halfway house is not a rowdy place. I think you'll be fine. You're lucky to get somewhere that nice to rent.

Yes - The Halfway House wouldn't be a party venue, or be open very late. Good location to live in. It's quite settled, and very near the Phoenix Park. You'll be right beside great transport links, with buses into town non stop at peak hours, and the train five minutes walk away.

I would just be counting my blessings on getting a place in the city, let alone a prime location. Many others arent so lucky.
