    Hi

I will be asking my engineer but just wanted to get some input here also

I gave my plans to raft guys for my extension. Its a 200mm cavity wall.

I check their measurements on the lower boards before the pour and they were spot on. the inner shutters were not done.

however the project manager decided to tell them to add 50mm to the toe and they added it by making the toe 350mm inwards and have poured.

now my rooms are 50mm less on each wall and one wall doesnt line up flush with an existing wall.

Their solution is to add block on edge all the way around in the toe to take the half block at the inner leaf level.

this would obviously reduce the cavity insulation to 150mm in the foundation. is this acceptable?

its not a 2 story and doesnt have any big roof loads

not sure reshuttering back the 50mm is a good fix either, maybe if tied in right it would be?

Mod Note: You do really need to get your structural engineer to advise. From the information provided, nobody (online) can really give you any sort of answer you can rely on.
