Help me understand help to buy and first home scheme..

    So, I have an approval in principal of €270,000

    Single income buyer. But have a partner and kid.

    Help to buy will give me another €30,000.

    I have €50,000 in savings

    So that's a total of €350,000

    I would like to buy a new build but they're all at eye watering prices.

    How much can the first home scheme stretch me to? That's the part I don't understand. Can I buy a new build worth more than 400k? Because that's what they're all going for.
