How to remove this tight fitting

    Anyone any advice on removing this black plastic fitting from the isolation valve. The black threading is part of an mdpe fitting that's connected to an isolation valve with 1 inch connection. It's pretty tight and I'd prefer not to do any damage!

    I'm not a plumber but I think a good quality strap wrench should do the job

    Cheers all. Got it off earlier as suggested above. The plastic got a bit roughed up but was worth it!
