We had a quite large Monterrey Cypress tree fall in the storm. The base of it is enormous, like a big crater of ground and it must be 3-4 metres tall now uprooted. Was hard to believe it could ever have fallen.

I don't have a pic can try add later but think of something like this lying on it's side with dozens and dozens of branches:

Just wondering if anyone has any tree surgeon recommendations?

I don't know if the timber is of any value/use to be honest.

What sort of 'ballpark' cost would it cost to have it just cut up even?

    I’ve used Jack Brehony Tree Surgery 0851587061. You’re talking ~€1000 for a day’s work

macrocarpa wood would be a decent enough softwood once processed, but that'd generally be from specimens with good straight trunks with few side branches; not that common in ireland, i suspect.
