I've got a new Sony TV with freesat tuner. The TV's remote appears to be able to operate the firestick over HDMI.

Does anyone know if you can get a similar sort HDMI of stick for DVB-T2 in order to receive saorview and navigate it all with the TV's remote as I've had no success in getting the Sony TV to have both terrestrial and satellite to coexist..

Could you use the players instead of a separate tuner. All 3 Irish players have live TV, switching between channels can be slower than regular tv but not intolerable, yes switching between players is slower.

I would say persevere a bit more with the menus. The TV is designed to receive TV channels, not to make life difficult. I can only write about LG which also gets condemned for being useless to switch between satellite and terrestrial. But getting familiar with the remote turns that into a super easy process.

It's simple enough to swtich between the channels, but the guide doesn't appear to populate when both terrestrial and freesat are enabled. I've tried network connected or not connected.

It's something I've seen reported before, with the guide initially populating for the whole week but then not updating ever again. Sony have already switched out the main board and it's made no difference. I'm perservering with this route also but just wondered about a separate stick for either the DTT or the freesat to get over the shortcomings of Sony's software.

The TV isn't my main one - I've got a different one tuned in to saorview, with separate freesat box; it's for an older relative who isn't really au fait with the various apps and just wants to simply switch between RTE and BBC.
