Hey, I'm looking at moving to a saorview & freesat combo for an elderly parent who currently use sky, and wouldn't be great at picking up new tech. Was looking at the OCTAGON SF8008 along with the OpenViX menu.

Does anyone have any experience with how user friendly this would be compared to sky Q, I know the box is customizable, and was hoping to have a single menu for both the saorview and freesat channels and wouldn't be difficult navigating to them.

    Thanks

Once set up properly, you can have one Channel menu, allowing you to record if a hard disk/usb is attached.

Channels sometimes change tunings, (can be done automatically I think), but maybe easier if connected to "Webif" on a computer. You will get plenty help here.
