My GP has put me on a list to go for a codeine detox in St. Michael's Ward in Beaumont. I'm wondering what I should expect and if I'd need insurance.

If you don't have health insurance now, you won't be able to just buy it and claim.

There are waiting periods before insurance kicks in.

If you're on the waiting list, it sounds like you're on a public waiting list so there won't be a cost.
