    OK lads,thank you !

I'm trying to setup a project to promote/introduce/deploy/install and to make Linux OS more friendly in schools, with students and teachers and staff.

I wasn't aware that there are so many "penguins" and that is only good news…

Thanks and i hope to meet you in person,at some of the events.

Linux live user group meetings, wow. I didnt think that would happen in this day and age unless contributors or something. Kinda cool but feels a bit like 1995?

Yeah,my car in the garage, took a while to get it fixed, missed the timing..

There is an online as well, to keep it compatible with the"modern experience".

I was at the last meetup, it was more of a social event than professional networking. Spent a large chunk talking about bikes

I found it quite good for the outing and meeting new people in a very informal setting. If you're looking for something more like the conference experience then it wasn't exactly that

There's also a Linux install day being organised for September 13th, basically since Windows 10 ends support that day you can bring any computer along and get Linux installed

In this post covid world we have to force ourselves to socialise in person

Or at least I do, takes about a week to recover from meeting friends for drinks 😅

I actually joined the Fedora matrix chat group recently, trying to become a contributor and give something back to the community. I found it to be a lot more like what most people would probably think of (like Linux forums but in real time group chats)

The online version is basically a matrix chat group. There should be details on the event page of how to join if interested
