    hi all,

Looking forward a bit of advice here.
We have an extension built over a year at this stage and a crack has formed at the apex of the ceiling (it’s a vaulted roof).
    I was planning on:

    1)Opening up the crack further

    2) sanding back either side of the crack

    3) applying a jointing compound (mud?)

    4) either wide skrim tape, or white jointing paper tape with the middle of the tape in the middle of the apex line and the tape folded back over the two plasterboards that make the apex where I have sanded back

    5) applying a jointing compound (mud?) on top of the the skein or paper tape and feathering it back level with the plasterboard

    6)sanding it back

    7) another coat of compound mixed wetter if needed

    8) last sand with 220 grit or the like

    9) paint

Am I right doing this or what do you guys recommend, also can you recommend a good jointing compound that works with the paper tapes or self adhesive skrim tape please as my understanding is that’s different to polyfilla.

Also I’ll post a couple of pics of the crack when I get home.

    Thanks all.
