Anyone know why they erected a "temporary" fence on the station-side footpath at Louisa Bridge?

Well....🤠 ? - walked past fence today and I'd speculate that the fabric of that side of bridges walls are in a dangerous state, there are structural fractures visable between where blocks and stone work merge near centre part of the bridge. Clearly visable by the patchwork quilt like touch up jobs done to it over the years.

That's my musing - in the absence of any public notice in said bridges vincinity or visable works being carried out. 👷

Gas that they’re so concerned about the bridge while directly across from it is a death trap for pedestrians made worse by bike lane ( which bizarrely now often features cyclists coming up it against the flow of traffic and pedestrians )
